UFC priredba koja se održala u Glasgowu se završila pomalo iznenađujuće, mnogi nisu verovali da Santiago Ponzinbbino može da pobedu Gunnara Nelsona a namoli da ga nokautira početkom prve runde. Kako god Santiago je to uspeo i svima je dokazao da mu je mesto u samom vrhu welter kategorije. 

Borba je počela vrlo zanimljivo bilo je dobrih razmena sa obe strane, Nelson je pogađao dobrim udarcima međutim nije uspeo da završi Santiaga, sredinom prve runde Santiago pogađa Nelsona i tu je početak kraja za Nelsona.
